The Kero Necklace takes its name from a reconstructed Proto-Indo-European root associated with colour and the colourful. It suits a necklace built around a combination of stones chosen simply because their colours work so well together.

Pale, speckled kiwi jasper is interrupted by a single polished carnelian bead in deep red-orange. The jasper is cool and mottled; the carnelian warm and saturated. Neither colour makes quite as much sense without the other.

Ancient Summer takes colour seriously. Long before colour theory, people were selecting, trading and wearing stones for the particular reds, greens and blues they carried. Kero continues that instinct.

It is for the person who notices colour first. Who remembers exactly which green was used on a wall ten years ago. Who knows when two colours belong together.
